#SAVEAupairs latest

26th April 2020

BAPAA are calling upon all SENDING AGENCIES who have sent Au Pairs to the UK between 2014-2019.

In order to save our Au Pair Programme in the UK, we need to collect accurate data about the size and importance of the Au Pair Programme.

To do this, we are asking all sending agencies to voluntarily provide current and historical information on their organisation's activities.

This crucial data will be used by BAPAA to conduct a socio economic impact study about the potential loss of the programme if Au Pairs are not allowed to enter the UK from 1 January 2021.

New date for immigration Bill to be heard in Parliament

This week, Leader of the Commons, Jacob Rees-Mogg and a handful of ministers shelved the reading of Priti Patel's controversial immigration bill due to COVID19.

Fortunately, this does allow us some time to conduct our socio economic impact study HOWEVER, we do only have until the 19th May 2020 before it is expected to be read in the commons again.
